J&M Bashforth & Sons was engaged as the civil contractor for earthworks, sewer rising main, stormwater drainage, roadworks and car parks.
The team completed all works with a focus on efficiency, durability and long-term performance suited to the local environment.
One of the major challenges on the project was the construction of the sewer rising main from the site all the way to the West Byron sewerage treatment plant. The alignment of the main was within the existing road corridor and also had to be constructed under the existing railway line.
The team also managed complex road upgrades and traffic-control measures to ensure works could progress safely and efficiently despite challenging site conditions.
