Located in West Ballina within Ballina Shire, Ballina Quays is a 36 lot residential subdivision developed to support continued residential growth in the Northern Rivers region.
J&M Bashforth & Sons was engaged as the civil contractor to deliver the core infrastructure works required to prepare the subdivision for future residential construction. The project included bulk earthworks, sewer, stormwater drainage, water and recycled water infrastructure, roadworks and concrete footpaths.
The team delivered all works with a focus on long-term durability and efficient project delivery despite challenging site conditions.
One of the major challenges on the project was managing poor ground conditions and a consistently high water table across the site.
These conditions required careful planning, ground management and drainage coordination to maintain construction progress while ensuring the long-term stability and performance of the subdivision infrastructure.
