Located in Tweed Shire near the Tweed Valley Hospital precinct, Cudgen is a 17-lot residential subdivision designed to support continued residential growth in the Northern Rivers region.
J&M Bashforth & Sons was engaged as the civil contractor to deliver the essential infrastructure works required to prepare the subdivision for future residential construction. The project included bulk earthworks, sewer, stormwater drainage, water infrastructure, retaining walls, roadworks and concrete footpaths and driveways.
The team worked closely within an active and highly serviced area to ensure all infrastructure was delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
One of the major challenges on the project was navigating around existing essential services connected to the nearby Tweed Valley Hospital while maintaining safe and efficient traffic management throughout the construction process.
Careful planning and coordination were required to protect critical infrastructure, minimise disruption and ensure works progressed safely within a busy surrounding area.
