Located in Suffolk Park within the Byron Shire, Jullum is a 17 lot residential subdivision developed to support continued residential growth in the Northern Rivers region.
J&M Bashforth & Sons was engaged as the civil contractor to deliver the core infrastructure works required to prepare the subdivision for future residential construction. The project included bulk earthworks, sewer, stormwater drainage, water and fire main infrastructure, roadworks and finishing works.
The team delivered all works with a focus on long-term durability and efficient project delivery despite challenging site conditions.
With endangered vegetation species present on the site, very strict vegetation management precautions were in place for the duration of the works. Another challenge was stormwater management with the site within a large catchment area. Works were completed on a major upgrade to an existing stormwater detention basin.
