Located in Kielvale within Tweed Shire, Meadow Estate is a 16 lot rural residential subdivision designed to offer spacious lifestyle living surrounded by the natural beauty of the Northern Rivers region.
J&M Bashforth & Sons was engaged as the civil contractor to complete the major infrastructure works required to prepare the estate for future residential development. The project involved bulk earthworks, stormwater infrastructure, road construction and landscaping works across the site.
The team also completed upgrades to surrounding roads to support safe access and improve connectivity for the growing community.
Delivering infrastructure works across a rural residential site required careful planning around drainage management, site topography and environmental considerations.
During construction large sections of extremely poor ground conditions were encountered. This was overcome with the use of rock mattresses to alleviate ground water and bridge the poor subsoils.
